channels in Tampa Bay due to the effects of Hurricane Irma. The survey limits and methods (i.e.,
sensors used) will be determined by the Team Lead in consult with the NRB Chief and NOAA
Navigation Manager. Data will be collected in the most efficient manner to provide USACOE and
USCG information that is critical to make real-time decisions on channel and/or port closures and
openings. The data from this survey are not intended to meet NOAA charting specifications, and
are not intended to be applied to the nautical chart with the exception of hazards to navigation
(i.e., DToNs), subject to branch review.</ns1:memoPurpose><ns1:products productSubmitted="true"><ns1:discussion>Preliminary products were provided directly to the navigation manager and USACOE representative. </ns1:discussion></ns1:products><ns1:dataAcquisitionAndProcessing>All survey systems and methods utilized during this survey were as described in S-G918-NRT2-17_DAPR.xml. Exception - Due to inferior data quality from Hypack Side Scan NRT2 made a decision to log the SSS straight to .jsf using Edgetech Discover2. We knew that the navigation was not set up to write into the .jsf file and thought that there would be a simple way to post apply the nav data into the .jsf. This turned out to not be the case as Caris could not convert the data without navigation. After several attempts with Caris to correct the problem we were not able to make the fix work. The side scan data was observed in real time at all times and no significant contacts were found. The raw SSS data is submitted with the project.</ns1:dataAcquisitionAndProcessing><ns1:verticalControl>Soundings were reduced to Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) using observed tides from 8773037, 8773259,
