2018-03-20Pacific Hydrographic BranchOCNMS R/V TATOOSH R/V TATOOSH PersonnelSurvey W00262 was conducted by R/V TATOOSH from 01/16/2013 - 01/19/2013 for coastal mapping purposes. This survey investigation was in response to a dock which is reported to be Tsunami Debris from Japan that washed ashore on the Washington Coast between Mosquito Creek and Hoh Head. The purpose of this investigation was to survey an area to identify safe passage for a potential salvage vessel to approach from sea to a point near enough to hook a tow line to the derelict dock. The vessel utilized in this investigation was the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary research vessel TATOOSH. The area surveyed was approximately 1.9 nm long and 1 nm wide.There were no products created for this survey.The survey does not include a Data Acquisition and Processing Report.Soundings were reduced to Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) using <discrete zoning, TCARI, or VDatum>.There were no DTONs created for this survey.Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary R/V TATOOSHN/AThis survey was evaluated as External Source Data and determined to be adequate for charting purposes.The survey is partially adequate to supersede previous data.Data partially meet current specifications as certified by the OCS survey acceptance review process.
